Robert Allen Hartwig, Sr. Age 88 of Taylor, Michigan went to meet our heavenly Father June 29, 2013. Born September 3, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan he resided in Taylor for 53 years. "Bob" as he liked to be called, earned his living driving a semi for 40 years. As an outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting and would share his hunting stories with anyone who would listen. A soft hearted man with a great sense of humor, he loved dancing, having a good time and spending time with his family and friends. He didn't know a stranger and was always willing to help anyone. He was an amazing man, husband, dad and friend. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lorene, son Edward (Judy) of Littleton, Co., daughter Carol Windham of Newport, MI; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son, Robert Hartwig, Jr. and grandsons, Christopher and Ryan Windham.
