Loving husband of Mary for 55 years. Beloved father of Robert H. Hlavaty and Leigh Hlavaty (Chris Lyster). Robert retired from Henry Ford Community College in 2002 after 40 years of teaching auto technology and service. Avid hobbyist and pet lover.

Funeral Mass Friday 11:30am at Divine Child Catholic Church (1001 N. Silvery Lane, Dearborn), gathering from 11:00am. Memorials can be made to the Michigan Humane Society in Robert's honor.
