Obituary

Hutchings, Robert George, Age 83 of Taylor. Robert was born in Detroit to Alfred and Florence Hutchings on August 24, 1929. After graduating high school, Robert joined the US Army during the Korean War. Following his service to his country, Robert married Loraine Mikkola formerly of Calumet. Robert and Loraine raised five daughters in the same house he lived in today. Robert was trained by the US Army as an auto mechanic and he practiced his vocation for the rest of his life. He and his wife leave family memories of camping trips to the U.P., to Yellowstone and to Disney amongst many others. Robert spent much of his retirement, after the passing of his beloved Loraine, with his grandkids, his girls and his loving companions Harley and Teddy. Robert is the beloved husband of the late Loraine. Dearest father of Linda Brown (David), Cathy Vance, Patricia Demko (Joseph), Beverly and Bonny. Dear grandfather of Christopher Brown (Christina), Rachel Hetzner (Matthew). Robert Demko and Nicholas Vance. Funeral Tuesday, April 2nd, 11:00 am at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road. Visitation Monday 2:00-9:00pm. Entombment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Park. Memorials suggested to Michigan Humane Society or to Alzheimers Assoc.
