Robert Nelson
Osenbaugh
July 1, 1964 – June 12, 2024
Robert Osenbaugh of Dearborn Heights passed away on June 12th, 2024 at the age of 59.
Loving husband of Kim Osenbaugh, dear son of Fumiko and the late Nelson Osenbaugh, beloved father of Robby, Jimmy (Brittney) Osenbaugh, and Elise (Tony), cherished step-father of Kelly (Dave) and Holly (Alex). Beloved brother to Lonnie and Marcella (Ricardo) and caring grandfather to four beautiful granddaughters.
Bob's other best friend was his dog, "Gris"
Bob had a big smile and an even bigger heart. He was an extremely friendly guy who never met a stranger. His kindness and generosity were endless. Robert genuinely cared about people and helped everyone he could. With a great sense of humor, he was usually the punchline of his own jokes and funny comments.
He enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of time in the woods and forest, climbing things, cruising in his Barracuda, and collecting knives. Bob and Kim shared many adventures attending jam band concerts, music festivals and traveling on great vacations.
Bob was a stone mason by trade and his beautiful artistic works can be found from school marquees to hospitals and train stations, and many other buildings. If you knew Bob, you likely have some kind of his handwork in your house or yard.
Raised in Bedford, MI. He was retired from Dearborn school districts after 25 years. His kids' friends affectionately knew him as "Mr. O."
He'll be greatly missed by so many people, especially his wife Kim. They had a magical, once in a lifetime kind of love.
The family has chosen to have a private family farewell.
Robert has been entrusted into the care of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. 22456 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, Michigan, 48124. 313-561-1500.
