Stimac
April 11, 1931 – September 14, 2021
Roberta Jane Stimac, 90, of Dearborn, died peacefully on September 14th, 2021, at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Mi.
Bobbi was born on April 11th, 1931, in Nashville, Michigan, the fourth child of Clarence and Bernice (Bunny) Shaw. Upon graduating high school from Nashville, she attended the University of Michigan where she majored in elementary education, her graduating class cementing the brass Block M into the sidewalk in the middle of the Diag. She taught kindergarten for several years at Woodworth Elementary School in Dearborn before starting a family. She enjoyed cats, birds, taking her grandkids to operas and music performances, crossword puzzles, singing in the church choir, and spending her summers in the Keweenaw.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Bunny; her brothers Raymond & Roger; her sister Doreen; and her beloved granddaughter, Katherine (Katie) Stimac Carter. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James (Jim); daughter Nancy (Mark) Scarantino; son Matt (Jenny) Stimac; 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A service has yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity, the Katie Stimac Carter scholarship fund at Saline High School (checks may be sent in c/o Jim Stimac at their home address), or organizations promoting music and the arts.
