Ronald Allen, of Taylor MI, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the age of 76.
Beloved Husband of Kathleen for 56 years.
Loving Father of David (Holly), Laura (Todd) Suspeck, and Christine (Michael) Allen-Carlson.
Dearest Grandfather of Rachel (Jonathan), Daniel, Ian, Timothy, Ava, and Monica.
Sweetest Great Grandfather of Corbin and Grayson.
First day of Visitation will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018, from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Taylor Chapel, located at 9800 S. Telegraph Rd. Taylor MI, 48180.
Second day of Visitation will be held Monday, April 16, 2018, from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a scripture service at 6:00 p.m. at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Taylor Chapel, located at 9800 S. Telegraph Rd, Taylor MI, 48180.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, with a viewing at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alfred Catholic Church, located at 24175 Baske St. Taylor MI, 48180.
Following the Mass, the family welcomes you to join them for a luncheon at the Parish Center across the lot from the church. A chapel service at Michigan Memorial Park cemetery will follow the luncheon at 3:00 p.m.
Ron attended Sts. Peter and Paul Grade School and St. Hedwig's High School in Detroit. He retired from Regal Steel Co. where he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing and regarded as the Martinsite "guru".
Ron was an active volunteer with the Michigan Emergency Patrol, a citizen band emergency radio station (KBW-5826) located at the top of the Fisher Building in Detroit. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and as a young man became Chief Squire.
Ron was an amateur magician and affectionately called "magic papa" by his great grandchild.
Ron was actively involved with Right to Life along with his wife Kathy.
