Ronald "Ron" Madacki, age 86, of Woodhaven, Michigan passed with his family at his side on July 15th, 2026.

Ronald was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Eleanore and John Madacki on March 7th, 1940. He was raised here with his siblings Kenneth (Nancy) Madacki, Carol (Pat) Waite and Joyce (Dan) Rasnick. He married his love, Trudy LaPratt, on August 21st, 1965, and they went on to have four children Debbie Smith, Sharon (Ronny) Tischio, Christine (David) Allie and David Madacki.

Ronald worked as a Ford Milwright for 43 years, retiring in 2004. He always loved the challenge of repairing everything. One creative and ingenious fix was securing a coffee can with a hose clamp to patch a tailpipe. He could fix anything! He also thrived on unplanned road trips-large and small, often with only the destination of fresh air. All of what nature offered captivated Ron and he always took time to pause, refect, appreciate, and share the beauty. His passion for learning was apparent by the many skills he studied such as ham radio, marksmanship, hunting, fishing, boating, cooking, photography, small electronic and engine repair. His clever and unexpected wit made time with him interesting and entertaining. He was a devoted family man and cared deeply for all his immediate and extended family and friends. He will be missed beyond words.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Eleanore and John Madacki, his wife, Trudy (2012), as well as his grandson, Daniel (2015), and his sister Carol (Pat) Waite. He will be remembered forever by his siblings Kenneth (the late Nancy) Madacki and Joyce (Dan) Rasnick, his children Debbie Smith, Sharon (Ronny) Tischio, Christine (David) Allie and David Madacki. Also, by his grandchildren Dane, Valentino, Hayden, Hannah and Brett. His long-time best friend, Ronnie, and close companion, Fran. He will also be remembered by his grand-dog, Bonnie, and many extended nieces and nephews.
