Gjostein, Rosanne. Born March 5, 1935. Entered into rest May 14, 2012. Devoted wife of the late Norman Gjostein. Loving mother of Joanie (Ken) Daye and Tom (Rebecca). Also survived by grandchildren Jeff, Luke, Julia, and Joseph. Rosanne was a Devout Roman Catholic. Earned a Bachelor of Arts, English from Seton Hill College in PA. and taught grade school prior to her marriage in 1959. Involved in Tennis & Crumpets (a fundraiser for children in the 1970's), one of the original members of Festival of Trees for Detroit (a fundraiser for Children's Hospital of Michigan), and a Member of the Board of trustees of Children's Hospital of Michigan. Involved and active in the Dearborn and Detroit area for 48 years. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Funeral Mass, Monday, May 21 at 10:00 am at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 17650 West Outer Drive, Dearborn Heights. Instate at 9:30 am. Visitation, Sunday 1-4 & 6-9 pm at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Rosary Sunday 6:30 pm. Interment Mt Kelly Cemetery.
