Obituary

Rose T. Stonik passed away on November 3, 2024 at the age of 78.

Rose was proceeded in death by her mother, Janet Cosgro, biological father Thomas Wall and her brothers Joe (Laura) Cosgro and Patrick (Jill) Cosgro. The remaining relatives are her father, Charles (Janet) Cosgro, and brothers Tony (Marleen) Cosgro, Matthew (Holly) Cosgro and sister Fay (Ed) Brooke, her only precious daughter and confidant Christine Reindl, her loving companion, Ron Thompson and nieces and nephews. Rose Stonik went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Belle Fountain, surrounded by her loving daughter and family of care givers. Rose spent her career in areas where she was helping people as a Social Worker and an Honorable Army Veteran. She was a very busy lady with many diverse interests and roles of leadership. She was an active church member who attended many group bible studies. Her energy and leadership also showed with The Community Senior Center, where she organized groups of interest and traveled for plays, dinners and her dream vacations, 1) being a cruise to the Bahamas and 2) going to Mackinaw Island Hotel.

Her personal interests also included being a member of The Taylor Choir, Taylor Flower Club, she loved going to parties, hanging out with her friends and talking, going out to eat. Back in the day, she was a High Leader in the Girl Scouts for 10 years or more, went back to school in her 40's, she was honored with the Who's Who Award from her college Spring Arbor, where she received her Bachelors for Social Work with a geriatric specialty. Then spent the next 20 some years fighting for rights of her residents.

Visitation for Rose Stonik will be on Saturday, November 9, 2024 12:30 until time of Service at 2:30PM. All services will be at Evangel Baptist Church located at 16994 Telegraph Rd, Taylor Mi 48180.
