Rose passed away at her home on September 5th, 2023, at the age of 98.

Loving wife of the late Eugene "Skeet" Snell. Devoted mother of Gene (Donna) Snell, the twins, Barb (Mark) Fitzgerald, and Brenda (Eric) Redinger. Caring grandmother of Dustin Snell, Kristin (Jason) Falk, Jamie (Teresa) Fitzgerald, Brandon (Katie) Fitzgerald, Michael (Lexxy) Fitzgerald, Lauren (Dan) Frangello, Eric (Claire) Fitzgerald, Sarah (Ryan) Cranfill, and Evie Leigh. She also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her younger brother James Hammock.

Rose graduated from high school early at the age of 16, and at 18, married the boy next door, and the love of her life Eugene "Skeet". The two started a family together welcoming Gene and twins Barb and Brenda. As a family they camped across the United States and Canada. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the true light in her life. Eugene and Rose never missed a grandchild's dance recital or sporting event and were their biggest cheerleaders. The great-grandchildren lovingly called her Roses, and she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. Rose worked as an administrator at Garden City Hospital for over 30 years. She found great joy in her flower gardens and filled them with beautiful rocks from her travels. After retirement, Rose took up line dancing, joining teams in Florida and Michigan and danced well into her 90's. She was the matriarch and queen of her family and left a legacy of strength, laughter, love, a little sass and heartfelt joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
