Obituary

Rosemary Broses Age 86, of Wilber Township, MI and formerly of Taylor, MI passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026.

She was born on April 13, 1939 in Detroit, MI to the late Andrew and Julia Konkoly (Fazekas). Rosemary was raised in the Hungarian Delray neighborhood and graduated from Dearborn Fordson High School. She then worked for 25 years for the Taylor School District. After retiring in 1986, she and her husband John moved to Wilber Township. They had enjoyed many years in the area previously visiting family, snowmobiling, and riding dirt bikes. Rosemary worked for several years at Cathy's Hallmark in East Tawas. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and bingo and most especially spending time with her family. Rosemary was a great cook, a pet lover and she was very proud of her Hungarian heritage. She belonged to the sunrise side trail busters snowmobiling group for many years.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Joan (Steven Anderson) Broses of East Tawas, MI, her son, John (Christine) Broses of Plymouth, MI; 3 grandchildren, John (Sharon), Luke (Zoey) and Joseph (Alissa); 3 great grandchildren, Audriana, Sophia, Benjamin and several nieces and one nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Broses, daughter Judith Broses, brother Andrew Konkoly and granddaughter Jacqueline Broses.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City, MI and again on Thursday from 4-8 pm at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylor, MI. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am (instate 9:30 am) on Friday, February 13, 2026 at St. Alfred Catholic Church in Taylor, MI. The interment will follow in the Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock, MI.
