Royal George Williams Age 80 of Riverview, Michigan.
Beloved Husband of Ruth Ann (nee McGee) for 56 years. Dearest Father of Tom (Denise), Cheryl Schramm (Tim) and Paul (Sarah). Loving Grandpa of Joshua Schramm, Joseph Schramm, Kaylee, Taylor and Parker, Step-Grandpa of Kristen and Kayla. Doggy Daddy of Molly and Doggy Grandpa of Willow and Hank. Dear Brother of Michelle Sonier and the Late Allen and Patty Deschenes (Danny). Also survived by his sister-in-law June Williams. Dearest Uncle of Richard Scott Radak, Steve, Diana Verdun, Joey, Danielle and the late Greg.
Royal is the third generation of the Williams family in Riverview, dating back to his Grandfather's store, the Williams Market. Royal dedicated his life to service of others including 29 years as a Riverview Police Officer, retiring as a Lieutenant, 48 years as a Master Mason including being the Worshipful Master twice, 30 year member of the Downriver Shrine Club and over 20 years as a Riverview Goodfellow.
Royal's family has awesome memories of camping, especially at Crystal Lake Campground in Ludington. Royal loved to fish, although it is not certain that anyone may have seen him catch anything. In the most recent years Ruth and Royal enjoyed many "Third Friday" dinners with dear friends. Some may even have memories of Royal as an original member of the local gospel quartet "The Methodaires".
The family will welcome friends Saturday December 1, 2018 from 2-7pm at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services 9800 S. Telegraph Taylor, MI 48180 and Celebrate Royal's Life at 7pm Saturday evening.
