Russell Barrett, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the age of 54 surrounded by his family. He was born February 18, 1969 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Doyle and Freda Barrett.

He owned and operated his own painting company. Russell had a love for music, especially for the Beatles, and was a Detroit Lions fan.

He was preceded in death by his brother Doyle Barrett and his sisters Brenda Lee Barrett and Michelle Turner. He is survived by his sisters and brothers: Brenda (Mark) Richard, Holly (Melvin) Humphrey, Nena Hopkins, Rita (Gary) Melford, Hazel McCarver, Roy (Ena) Barrett and William Ruff.

Russell also leaves behind his God son Nathan and many other nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

He leaves a legacy of laughter, love, kindness and selflessness. He cherished his family and will be deeply missed.
