Russell Richard Guyot, born June 17th, 1954, passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family on September 21st, 2026, after a long and painful battle with sarcoma cancer.
Rus was a special man. He was always willing to lend a hand and help out anyone in need. He had a big smile that lit up the room like a flashlight, which he had so many of. Rus had many chapters in his life touching the lives of many. He was a caring and thoughtful man. He gave everything he could to those around him. Rus was proud of making his own way in life and was a very hard worker. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and anything having to do with the outdoors. He especially enjoyed baking in the sun and listening to his music. He was loyal to those he loved and he was appreciated greatly for this. Rus also took pleasure in sharing his many stories of the outdoors with those around him.
He found some of his greatest place in the great outdoors, where he could spend hours hunting, surrounded by the beauty and quiet of nature. Hunting was more than a pastime to him. It was his passion that brought him joy, created lasting memories, and gave him countless stories to share with the people he loved. I am so lucky that I was able to be there with him in the woods; me with my camera and Rus with his gun.
Rus will be remembered by his loving wife, Peggy. Peggy’s three sons, Eugene, Benjamin, George and his step daughter, Kayla. His brother Alan and his sisters, Susie and Lauren. He will also be remembered by Uncle Jerry and Aunt Debbie.
