Ryan Joseph Feeney was a young man who was committed to working hard at everything that was important to him, from building friendships to running a faster mile, studying for an exam, or planning his future.
Ryan was a senior at Dearborn High School, and a member of the school's tennis team. In addition to tennis, Ryan played rugby and enjoyed running. He was studious as well as athletic, and consistently made the school's honor roll.
Ryan loved history and tradition, and had a a sincere respect and admiration for those who served in the military and the institution of the armed forces. Ryan planned to serve in the United States military following college, and had recently received a Reserve Officer Training Corps scholarship to attend Michigan State University.
Ryan liked cooking, working on his Mustang, war memorabilia, and hearing the stories behind treasured antiques and relics. He was fond of watching shows like American Pickers and Pawn Stars, and appreciated the significance of a rare find.
Ryan was charming and personable, warm and accepting. He was a beloved son, caring brother and loyal friend who cherished his relationships with family and friends.
Ryan was the youngest son of Dave and Annette Feeney of Dearborn, and dear sibling of Colleen Feeney of Dearborn and David Feeney of Toledo, Ohio. In addition to his immediate family, Ryan is survived by his grandmothers, Alice Allen of Florida, and Mary Smith of Ohio, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss his warm smile and engaging conversation.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20th, from 12-9 pm at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave.
Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, April 21st, at 11 am (in-state at 10:30 am) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Dearborn, 22430 Michigan Ave.
