Scott Stanley
Seashore
January 29, 1960 – December 2, 2024
Scott Stanley Seashore passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 2, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Wright) Seashore and daughter, Lindsey Seashore, sister Carla (Saunders) Buckstein, brother Eric (Arlene) Seashore, Brother-In-Law Gerald (Sandra) Wright, Sister-In-Law Nancy (Bill) Guido, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and countless cousins who loved him. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Janice LeVoir Seashore, and his father, Stanley Harold Seashore, and his grandparents.
Scott was born January 29, 1960, at Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas. His family moved from Texas to Alabama, then Virginia, finally returning to their home town of Minneapolis, MN, where he spent his formative years.
Scott graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, and from Purdue with a Masters of Science in Engineering. While attending the U of M, he co-oped at Boise Cascade in International Falls. After graduating from U of M, Scott moved to the Detroit area and worked at Cadillac as a skilled trades Supervisor where he met his wife, Pat. They married on January 10, 1986. He moved on to Ford Motor Company and worked in various roles in the Vehicle Operations group, lastly as a Body Construction Leader. His job took him to many assembly plants in the US and Canada, as well as globally to Germany, China, and South America (Cologne and Chongqing being notable favorites). He initially retired in 2018, went back to Ford in 2019, and then retired again in 2022 with almost 35 years of service.
Scott loved cars, music (particularly jazz), airplanes & helicopters of all eras, and most of all, his family. He played trombone through school and into college, and continued into his adult life. He golfed as often as he could. Traveling was a pastime he shared with his wife and daughter, especially if it meant traveling to air museums and air shows, or ski hills near and far.
He will be missed, respected, remembered fondly, and most importantly, loved — eternally.
A visitation will be held at the Dearborn Location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Friday, December 6th, 2024, 3-8pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11am. Interment to follow at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock.
