Shannon M. O'Day, 66, of Dearborn, MI passed to eternal life on December 19, 2022 following a heart and kidney transplant on December 13, 2022 at the University of Michigan CVC.

Shannon was preceded in death by her beloved parents Ethel and Gerald O'Day and her younger sister, Carolyn O'Day Symanow.

Shannon is survived by her brother, Kevin (Carol) O'Day; sister, Anne(Asif) Munir, and brother-in-law, David Symanow; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Shannon was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan having received two Master's degrees in engineering. Shannon loved her time living, studying, and working in Ann Arbor.

Shannon spent her career as an ergonomics engineer at Ford Motor Company before retiring in 2017.

Shannon was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved the experience of her travels to Ireland.

Shannon was kind and compassionate. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
