Shirley M. Barnard, age 84, passed away on March 31st, 2019 at her home in Dearborn Heights surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved sister of the late Stanley (Margaret) Barnard, and Harold (Noreen) Barnard.
Dear aunt of Cliff, Charlie, Ken, Susan, Mary Ellen, Debbie, and the late Dan.
Treasured daughter to the late Percy and Charlotte Barnard.
Lifelong friend of the late Shirley Jedro who she took care of for over 10 years.
Cherished companion of Sweet Pea the parakeet and the late Cricket the lovebird.

Shirley was a woman of many facets. She was musically inclined her entire life. She played the organ and accordion and even taught lessons in her younger years. She had a soft spot for animals, especially birds. Shirley was devout in her faith and had a great love for her family and friends. Those with the honor of knowing her will remember her healthy sense of humor, intelligence, and her creativity. She will be missed so greatly.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3rd from 2-8PM at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph. Funeral Thursday, April 4th instate 10AM until time of service at 11AM at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 24158 Goddard Road, Taylor. Shirley will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
