Shirley Ann Keenan passed away on November 30, 2024 at the age of 64 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Shirley is the loving mother of Amy Scott, Peggy Scott (Ronald Poccia), Ariel Keenan, Michelle Freeman, and John (Akeya) Freeman. Proud Mamaw of Anthony, Marcus, La-Monica, Da-Mar, Da-Lila, Athena, Jason, Apollo, Aries, and Artemis. Great Mamaw of Isaiah. Shirley is also survived by her dear friends, Mary, Linda, Dee-Dee, Doreen, and Dawn. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy and Eddy.

Shirley lived her life to the fullest and she loved every minute of it. There is not a picture of her without a big smile. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Euchre, the Daily 3 & 4, and always appreciated a scratch off ticket. Family was the center of her world. She always was the host of the family events and holidays and was happy to be the matriarch. She fought her cancer with dignity and strength and never entertained the idea of giving up. She set a great example for her family and leaves behind a legacy full of love.

A visitation and service will be held at the Dearborn Location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Wednesday, Dec. 11th, 3-8pm and Thursday, Dec. 12th, at 10:00am until time of service at 1:00pm

Interment at Woodmere Cemetery, Detroit.
