Silas Noah Barkley of Taylor passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the age of 86.

Beloved father of Jill (Charlie) Methvin, William Barkley, Kelly (Harold) Barkley, Greg Barkley, and the late Paul Barkley.

Loving grandfather and great grandfather.

Brother of Marjorie Hergenreder and the late Bill Barkley and John Barkley.

Silas was born in Caro, Michigan to Bernard and Verniece Barkley. He was raised in Vassar, Michigan where he graduated from Vassar High School. Silas was a train conductor for Norfolk and Southern Railroad Company, and proudly retired after 45 years of service.  He was also a former member of the Melvindale Moose Lodge.

A Private Committal Service will take place on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:00PM at the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, Michigan.
