It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stan Dalton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully at his home on July 20, 2026, following a courageous battle with liver cancer. Born on December 23, 1954, in the serene town of Tampa, Florida, Stan's life was a testament to love, family, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Stan was the cherished son of Robert and Elizabeth Dalton, who predeceased him and now welcome him into their eternal embrace. He was a devoted husband to Deborah, his soulmate and life partner, with whom he shared 49 loving years. Their marriage, which began on April 30, 1977, was filled with mutual respect, laughter, and unending support. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Tiffany (Tim) Cichanski and Melissa (Joe) Burleson, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Stan's legacy is carried forward by his grandchildren, Bianca (Hussam), Nyla (Eduardo), and Caleb, and his great-grandchildren, Yousef, Liliana, and Mohammed. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he found endless delight in singing, dancing, and making cherished memories with them, particularly at the lake which was his sanctuary. Stan also leaves behind his dear brother Mike (Bronwyn) and sister Cheryl, as well as in-laws Dave, Paula (Steve), Barb (Marc), and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. His loyal feline companion, Buddy, will surely miss his comforting presence.
Stan proudly served his country in the United States Army, embodying the values of honor and dedication that he carried throughout his life. Following his military service, he found his calling at Awry Bakery, where his work was not just a job but a passion.
A man of many talents, Stan was known for his infectious smile and ability to bring joy to any gathering. His love for music and dancing enlivened family gatherings and his penchant for "cheesing it up" in photos ensured that his spirit would be forever captured in moments of happiness.
Though he has departed from our midst, Stan's legacy of love, joy, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. All services located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services 9800 Telegraph Rd.
