Obituary

Stanley J. Kloc passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 90.

Stanley John "Stas" Kloc passed away on March 1st 2025, in Taylor Michigan at the age of 90.

Born on February 10, 1935 in Dearborn Michigan he lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by family and friends. Stanley is survived by his beloved wife Lucille of 66 years, and their children: John, Pam (Darin), Susan (Andy) Steeby, Terri (the late Joe) Pavilanis, and Tom (Jill) Kloc. He was also cherished by his 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Stanley is preceded in death by his daughter Karen, his parents and two sisters.

A person of many passions, Stanley had a deep appreciation for John Deere model and pedal tractors, amassing a huge collection that reflected his enthusiasm for craftsmanship and history. He found joy in gardening and distributing his produce to family and friends. No one left his house without a basket of tomatoes and or beans! If you couldn't find him napping in the house, he was in the garden! He also spent countless weekends at the flea market along side his close-knit group of flea market friends, always finding the "great deals".

His love for his family was evident in the unwavering support of the grandchildren and their MANY sporting events, dance performances and choir concerts! He also took pride in sharing his enormous knowledge for plumbing, electrical and wood working. He was always hands on, or the on site "supervisor" for countless projects at the homes of the grandkids!

Stanley was an honorary member of the St. Alfred's Christian Woman Society-being the last surviving male honorary member.  He remained devoted to his faith throughout his life. He attended St. Barbara's Parish in Dearborn as he grew up, and St. Alfred Parish in Taylor as his family grew. He was always a devoted Parish Festival volunteer for decades as well.

Stanley spent years participating in the Taylor South Little League, coaching or tending to the fields-even after a long day as a Tool and Die maker, he conjured up the energy to spend countless hours with his boys and the teams.

Stanley's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His large and giving heart will be missed dearly. May his memory bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
