Steven Nicholas Wicker

Steven Nicholas Wicker was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 7, 1995, to Steven R. Wicker and Tammy Wicker of Dearborn Heights, Michigan.

Nicholas and family relocated to the Upper Peninsula and resided in Norway, Michigan where he played several sports starting from Norway middle school to Norway high school. During this time, he participated in cross country, track and field, football and basketball. Nicholas graduated from Norway High School and studied in the Lineman program at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan.

Furthermore, Nicholas joined the US Army in 2016 with an honorable discharge in 2019. After getting out of the Army, Nick started an apprenticeship program with Bricklayers Union Local Number 2 and was eventually employed by American International Construction.

Nick gave his life to Christ and was baptized in 2013 at Apostolic Church of God in Christ.

Nick departed this earthly rim on July 17, 2026. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mildred and Ernest Marshall, and his aunt, Fredia Hinson.

He leaves his legacy of love to his two daughters, Harper Wicker of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Everleigh Wicker of Flat Rock, Michigan; his parents Steven and Tammy Wicker of Dearborn Heights, Michigan; his sister, Elizabeth J. Wicker of Dearborn Heights, Michigan; his aunt Gail Reese of Atlanta, Georgia; uncle C. Greg Wicker of Flowery Branch, Georgia; grandparents, Mark and Samantha Adolff of East Canton, Ohio; Charles Wicker of Buford, Georgia; great grandmother, Mary Ann Linder, Canal of Fulton, Ohio; a special cousin, Katoya Marshall of Stone Mountain Georgia; and a host of relatives and friends.

Steven will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442) on Friday, July 24th, 2026. A committal service will be held at 2:30pm, please arrive 15 minutes prior to ensure we are ready when the cemetery staff leads us back to the pavilion. A repast will be immediately following at Romulus Lanes (37452 W Huron River Dr, Romulus, MI 48174) from 4:00-9:00 p.m.
