Sekulich, Suellyn H. Of Dearborn, passed away May 3, 2014 at the age of 73. Loving wife of Ivan Sekulich. Beloved mother of James Sekulich of Dearborn, Michigan, Robert Sekulich of Redondo Beach, California and Rebecca Sekulich of Los Angeles, California. Grandmother of Jason and Joshua and also survived by two great grandchildren. Sister of Michael Matevia of Dearborn and David Matevia of Coldwater, Michigan. Suellyn retired from First United Methodist Church of Dearborn as the Christian Education Director. She was a member of Detroit Alumnae PanHellenic Association, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and President of Western Wayne County Alpha Xi Delta Alumnae Association. Suellyn enjoyed bridge, needlepoint, bead work, knitting and being part of the book club. An accomplishment that Suellyn was very proud of was receiving the "Ruth Simmons James Alumnae Association Excellence Award with Highest Honors. Gathering At church Saturday 10:00 a.m. Visitation Thursday 4-9 p.m. and Friday 12-9 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family as they will disburse to several Of Suellyn's favorite charities.
