Susan M. Prewitt, age 67 of Lincoln Park. Survived by her children Stacy Lynn (Ken) Schubert, Edward Carey Adams and James Burnham. Grandchildren; Amanda Adams, Jennifer Sanders, Nicholas Schubert, Nathan Burnham, Bailey Adams, Cameron Adams, and Joshua Adams. Her brothers Pete (Phyllis) Prewitt and Victor (Emmy) Prewitt. Susan Prewitt was born & raised in Plant City Florida. Her mother, who she loved so dearly, and 2 brothers moved to Michigan when her father went to work for the Detroit News. Susan proudly graduated in 1962 from Schafer High School in Southgate, Michigan. She was a long time employee of American Sun Roof in Southgate and retired from McCord Gaskets in Wyandotte, Michigan.
She spent much of her retired years living in her house in Oscoda, Michigan. She enjoyed living among the Michigan woods and wildlife with her beloved dog Tanner. Susan spent many hours walking in the woods with her children and grandchildren.
Susan wants to be most remembered for loving her children and being there for them as much as she could, as well as all she taught her grandchildren. She wants to be remembered for her love of nature, animals big and small alike, keeping a clean house and yard most of her life and showing her children the importance of keeping the woods clean and nature unharmed. Her positive attitude on "you can always do better for yourself" & "nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough". She wants all her family and friends to remember her as loving them when she was healthy, not sick. And she hopes they have learned from her to always do "the right thing" and to always love God.
