Obituary

Vega, Tamley C. May 22nd, 1963 - March 11, 2022. The Matriarch and leader of our family passed away suddenly on the morning of March 11th, 2022 after a long and hard fought battle with Lupus. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Paula Fulkerson, great uncles Pat Planta, Sonny Planta, Edward Planta, Israel Leyton, Teofilo Layton, Guadalupe Layton, Jose Leiton, Rigoberto Arevalo Vega, and nephew Ruben Fluellen. She is survived by her Husband Paul Lamas, her sons Eric and Johnpaul, her brother Ruben and her Sister Cynthia, her niece and nephew Yvonne and Richie, and her biological father Ruben.

She was a 1980 Graduate of Edsel Ford HS and she worked as a Ten Key Supervisor at the United States Navy Exchange System, a Classified Shipment Specialist at McDonnell Douglas, and a Corporate Trainer at Household Bank. After having her firstborn son Eric in 1992, she reconnected with her best friend and first love from junior high school, Paul. They were married in 1999 and shortly after, their youngest son, Johnpaul was born. After living in California for 5 years together, they moved back to Michigan to raise their family in the town where they grew up, Dearborn. Now surrounded by family and old friends, they let their children go to the same schools from which they were alumni: Nowlin Elementary, O.L. Smith Middle School, and Edsel Ford High School. In 2013, Johnpaul formed a band and asked her to be the manager. This is where she would truly show the world not only her business acumen, helping him create a career as a professional musician, but also her selflessness and caring aura, touching the lives of hundreds of people in the both local and national metal communities.
