Theresa Marie Turpen, age 53, passed away peacefully in her home in Dearborn Heights, MI on July 2, 2022.

Theresa, lovingly called TT by her family, was born on August 9th, 1968 to David and Rita Turpen and was the eldest of their three children.

TT was a dedicated nurse. She earned her B.S. in Nursing from Oakland University and served Henry Ford Health System in a variety of roles as an RN for over 30 years.

She loved to watch old movies and TV shows and read a wide variety of books. TT valued spending time with her family above everything else. She was always there to listen and provide insight. She was often the voice of reason in her family; her advice was usually paired with a joke or two. Her love of animals was unmatched and she provided a loving home for many pets in her life.

Theresa was preceded in death by her father, David; sister, Caralyn; and uncle, Frank.

She is survived by her mother, Rita; aunts, Germaine and Cella; uncle, Mel; brother, Joseph; her nephews who regard her as a parent, Brandon and Abid; and her great niece Jillian who brought great joy to her. She will be sorely missed.

A celebration of life is planned for Theresa on Friday July 8 at 6pm at Pias Ristorante (21142 Ecorse Rd.) in Taylor, MI.
