Therese A. Ternes (nee LaFave) passed away on August 19, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd G. Ternes Sr. for 67 years. Loving mother of Lloyd G. Ternes Jr. (Kathleen Keefe-Ternes), and Mary Ann (Kevin) Quigley. Cherished grandmother of Judith Ternes (Jad Ojjeh), Catherine Ternes, Kathleen (Jordan) Dillon, Meghan (Michael) Allison, Ryan (Elisa) Quigley, Kevin Quigley Jr. (Kaitlyn McBride), and Erin Quigley. Great grandmother of Noa Dillon, and Michael Allison. Dearest sister of Mary English, and William LaFave. Loved by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by 11 of her LaFave siblings.

Therese graduated from St. Mary's High School in Redford, MI class of 1945. She worked at Bell Telephone for a few years until she met the love of her life, Lloyd, and was married in 1948. She was a homemaker for her family for most of her life which was her greatest joy. She and Lloyd were also founding members of Divine Child Catholic Church in Dearborn, MI. Therese was the best wife, mother, and grandmother anyone could ask for. She will be deeply missed.

The Funeral Mass will take place at Divine Child Catholic Church 1055 Silvery Lane, Dearborn, MI 48128, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 1:30pm with the instate time beginning at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI immediately following the Mass with a dinner reception following at The Clawson Steakhouse 56 S Rochester Rd, Clawson, MI 48017, all are welcome.
