Obituary

Thomas Henry Bresette, 64, died peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on July 4, 2017. He was born on November 21, 1952. He grew up in Dearborn, MI and most recently lived in Stockbridge, MI.

Tom was a simple quiet man with a sense of humor that everyone admired. He was retired for nearly 9 years now and could be found in the barn listening to music while painting or in his rocker talking "Tom Talk" to his wife Linda or children, Tommy and Andrea.

He leaves behind his best friend and wife of 40 years, Linda and his daughter Andrea and his son Tommy and daughter-in-law Danielle. He comes from a large family and survived by his mother Loretta and sister Barbara and her husband Jack Hannum, children Sam and Nanette, his sister Kathleen Wolfe, her children Amy Higgins (David), her children Mick and Alex, Justina Parison (Chris), her children Vincenzo and Christian,  Jennifer and her son Joshua and Jonathon and his wife Leah and daughter Grace, brother Paul and his wife Roberta Bresette,  John and his wife Pennie Bresette, their daughter Sarah, sister-in-law Robyn of his late brother Joe and their children Ashley and Patrick and family of late sister Alice, her children Nicole and Scott and Michelle and children, Hayley, Thomas and Elizabeth.

He is reunited with quite a few people he has been missing for far too long; his father Francis, sister Alice and brother Joe. He is also reunited with his wife Linda's mother Yvette Fry and Walter Fry as well as her brother Sheldon.

While his life has been cut shorter than any of us would like, he lived a great life, full of happiness, love and laughter. He taught all of us how to live, especially in the last 7 months. Through the worst time in his life, he managed to keep his sense of humor and showed us all how to be humble and brave. We are forever grateful for the lessons he taught us and our time with him. We will continue to live every day for him and "let the good times roll" and try to only "cry tears of joy" and no matter what "give it our all" and "always look out for number one".

I imagine that he is in a beautiful campground right now where it's never too hot for a bonfire, the margaritas always have extra salt, breakfast is served all day long, the coffee is just right and the music never stops playing. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Lung Association in honor of Thomas Bresette.

Memorial service Saturday, July 22nd, 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Military and Michigan Ave, Dearborn), gathering at church from 10:30 a.m.
