Thomas Byars passed away on August 11, 2022 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of the late Rae Ann Byars. Loving father of Chris (Kelli) Byars, and Caitlin Byars. Cherished brother of Gerald (Marcia) Byars, Daniel (Vicky) Byars, Charlene (Paul) Hollingsworth, David (Ilsa) Byars, and Bruce (Krista) Byars. Brother in law of Linda Byars. He is preceded in death by his siblings James Byars, Elizabeth (Raymond) Hutchins, and Janice Wilson. Dearest companion and the rock of Nancy Gask.

Tom was one of the most friendliest guy's you would ever want to know, he made you feel welcome from the first time you met him. His handshake was strong and his hugs were even stronger. Tom loved his family and was always excited when his daughter Caitlin would jump on the back of his motorcycle and go for rides with him. He especially enjoyed and talked about the time he spent with his son Chris in Arizona, riding 4 wheeler s in the desert. Tom had the love for traveling and going places especially on his goldwing, with his group behind him.  A normal 10 minute ride to either a restaurant or ice cream parlor always took over an hour to get there, he loved taking back roads giving us the most enjoyment out of the ride along with being safe, he was a great leader. Tom always had a little smirk on his face, always had something funny to say and was sarcastic at times. Tom loved everyone, he never had a bad thing to say about anyone, he was a very easy man to talk to and was very helpful. Tom loved the Lord, and when not taking classes at the church he was singing in the men's choir. Tom will be deeply missed by all and will always be in our memories, safe traveling Tom.

A memorial gathering and memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, at NorthRidge Church, 49555 H. Territorial Road, Plymouth, Michigan 48170, in room 229. Memorial gathering begins at 10:00 am and the memorial service at 11:00 am
