Novak
June 19, 1949 – February 20, 2025
In Loving Memory of Thomas D. Novak
Thomas Novak passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 75. He was a man whose passion for life, wide-ranging interests, and deep love for his family will always be remembered.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman, finding joy in hunting, bird watching, and, above all, ice fishing. His love for nature brought him countless hours of peace and contentment, whether he was in the woods or on the frozen lakes of Michigan. He was never far from his binoculars or fishing pole, always eager for the next adventure.
His generosity extended to his conversations, where no subject was too complex or trivial for him to dive into. A true conversationalist, he could talk to anyone about anything, always with a warmth and wisdom that made every exchange meaningful.
He was especially devoted to his German Shepherds, whose loyalty and companionship brought him endless joy. Whether on a walk, bird watching, or simply lounging by his side, they were a constant source of happiness and comfort for him. His love for his dogs was unmatched, and they, in return, brought out the best in him.
Above all, Tom cherished the time spent with his wife. Together, they shared many memorable weekend trips throughout Michigan, particularly to the serene Upper Peninsula, Mackinaw Island, and the charming town of Frankenmuth. Their journeys were filled with laughter, discovery, and love, creating memories that will forever be treasured.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Pam of 38 wonderful years. Dear brother of Nick Novak, Terri (Ted) Langlois, Joe, the late Mary (Glen) Coppinger, Diane, the late John, and Alex (the late Terri). Caring uncle of Jeff (Ash), Andy (Maranda), and Sean. Thomas is also survived by many loving family and countless friends who will miss his presence, his stories, and his kind spirit. His legacy of living fully and with enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures will continue to inspire those who knew him. Tom is now joyfully reunited with his German Shepard companions Remy, Orley, Lindy, and Heidi.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dearborn Animal Shelter .
Rest in peace, Tom. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
