It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Thomas Howard Ryan. Who made his journey home Friday, July 18, 2025, following a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born May 30,1951 in Trenton, Michigan to his loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Ryan.

He was a resident of Riverview, Michigan. However, he grew up in West Farmington, Ohio where he attended and graduated from the Farmington School District. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming a Marine. He made that dream a reality in 1972 at the age of 21, where he made a full career doing exactly what he loved. He was an aviation mechanic with his specialties being F-4 Phantoms and F-18's. He retired in 1993 at the age of 42 accomplishing the rank of E-8 Master Sergeant, something he honored with unwavering pride. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, often having his mind in the gutter. He was a man of immense pride and wisdom. He stood as a pillar of unshakeable integrity. After retirement he focused on building strong relationships with his adult children and enjoyed golf, gardening, and loved tending to his home.

He is preceded in his death by his parents Robert and Joy Ryan.

He leaves behind a brother James Victor (Francis) Ryan. Three children: Kelly Ryan of Riverview Michigan, David (Kaylyn) Ryan of Grand Prairie Texas, and Misty (Randy) Edenfield of Warren Ohio, and a friend he loved as a daughter, Amy Stokes. Six grandchildren: Jordan Ryan, Bryan Kaster, Sierra Kaster, Kyle Kaster, Luke Ryan and Lily Ryan. Five great grandchildren: Jackson, Greyson, Bella, Jayce and Waylon.  Two very close cousins: Sandra Thompson and Eugene Mitchell. Two best friends: Pat Mooney and Kelvin Moran, and his sweet little partner in crime, his yorkie, Chelsea.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family will share details with friends and loved ones who wish to join in the celebration of honoring Tom's memory.
