Evelyn "Toni" Patrick Leonard. Was born on August 22, 1916 in Camden, Arkansas to Dr. William Taylor Ginn and his wife Lou Annie. Toni was the sixth and last surviving of her sisters. Toni met Van Patrick at Norphlet High School near Camden, Arkansas where he was a star athlete. He went on to Texas Christian and played ball with Sam Baugh and Davy O'Brien. Married in 1937 Toni and Van lived in seven cities in ten years, arriving in Detroit in 1949. Van and Toni had one son, Mickey (Judy). Toni and Van had a wonderful life together, with a highlight for Toni being lunch at Pickfair with Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks while on the west coast for a Lions football game. After Van's death, Toni married Frank Leonard. Toni and Frank lived between a farm in Manchester and a home in Dearborn. Toni was an avid fan of all sports and enjoyed the Super Bowl this past Sunday. Visitation 3-9 pm Thursday at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Services will be private.
