Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Travis Morgan, a beloved friend, family member, and true enthusiast of life. Travis was known for his infectious smile, boundless enthusiasm, and the passion he brought to everything he did. He passed away on March 8, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and shared memories with all who knew him.

Travis was a person of many interests and hobbies, each reflecting his kind heart and creative spirit. A true gamer at heart, he spent countless hours playing video games with his close friends, forging lasting bonds through shared adventures and challenges. His love for these games extended beyond the screen and was a reflection of his genuine appreciation for teamwork and camaraderie.

In addition to gaming, Travis was an avid reader, with The Hobbit being his all-time favorite book. He also enjoyed the thrill of tabletop RPGs, where his imagination ran wild and friendships were made around the table, just as important as any adventure he embarked on in his virtual worlds.

A lifelong fan of all things Marvel, Travis had a particular affinity for Captain America. His collection of Captain America and Marvel paraphernalia was a testament to his dedication to the superhero universe. You could always count on him to be spotted wearing his Captain America t-shirt, a symbol of his unshakable admiration for the iconic character and all he represented.

Beyond his personal interests, Travis was an avid participant in seasonal activities. He eagerly awaited annual trips to Greenfield Village's Halloween events, where the atmosphere of spooky fun was something, he relished. Likewise, he looked forward to the fireworks at Taylors Summer Festival, a tradition he shared with friends and family to celebrate the joy of the season.

Travis had a strong desire to expand his horizons and was just beginning to learn German. His curiosity and dedication to self-improvement were evident, as he never stopped striving to better himself and explore new worlds—whether through language, culture, or hobbies.

One of Travis's greatest joys was his two adorable guinea pigs. He loved them dearly, always making time to cuddle and care for them. Their sweet presence brought him comfort and joy, and they were a constant source of companionship in his life.

Travis is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Lane. Mother Stephanie (Todd) Smith. Siblings Gary Glenn Morgan Jr., and Melanie Champine. In-laws Christina Webster, Jessica Douglas, and Jennifer Buzewski. Son-in-law of Matthew and the late Linda Lane. He is preceded in death by his father Gary Glenn Morgan Sr.

Travis will be missed deeply by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He lived his life with passion, kindness, and an unshakable love for the things that made him happy. His memory will live on in the laughter of friends reminiscing about gaming sessions, the pages of The Hobbit that he so loved, and the many Marvel collectibles he proudly displayed. May he rest in peace, knowing he touched the lives of so many, and his legacy will endure in the hearts of those who loved him.

Has had the amazing long term-care and support of his medical family at both the Michigan Foot and Ankle Center Livonia, and Michigan Dialysis Clinic at the Livonia Center for Specialty Care - He would not have come this far without you.
