( Una) Marie Hicks     Age 77  of Gladwin, MI

Passed away on Monday June 8, 2020.  She will be immensely missed by her devoted, loving husband, Kenneth Gene Hicks, of 63 years.  Together they had 3 daughters and son-in-laws; Linda (Michael) Toensfeldt of Brownstown, MI, Brenda (Tony) Korotney of Flat Rock, MI and Sandi (Eddie) Schlacht of Garden City, MI. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren that she adored, Amanda (Bruno) Bennatti of Flat Rock, MI, Kenny (Bree) Korotney of Plymouth, MI, Krista Hullum of Garden City, MI and Michael Schlacht of Wayne, MI. This Mamaw didn't know that her heart could be so full until she had her first great-grandson, Tyler Dreier, in 2011 who is so special to her. Then in 2018 more great-grand babies made her extremely happy, Addilyn and Jackson Korotney, and Gio and Sophia Bennatti.

Marie enjoyed her tight bond with her 5 loving sisters, who will miss her terribly; Maxine (Ed) Farmer of Gladwin, MI, Shelby Hopkins, Betty Sulfridge, Freda (Larry) Baker of Pineville, Ky. and Jerrie (Bob) Valentine, of Barbourville, Ky.

Marie also loved her 18 nieces and nephews, her many great-nieces and nephews, an abundance of cousins and loved ones that are like family.

Proceeded in death by: Her parents, Troy and Vernie Baker, Her Mother-in-law & Step-father-in-law. Louise and Virgle Fitzwater, her father-in-law Clyde Hicks, a few nephews, a couple great-nieces and many friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, June 15, 2020 with a funeral service beginning at 12:00PM on the following day, Tuesday, at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Rd. Interment at Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens in Livonia, Michigan.
