Belmore, Violet Cairns of Ann Arbor MI. (Formerly of Dearborn MI, Age IOO, died Saturday, February 10, 2024 at her home in Ann Arbor.

Violet was born January 24, 1924 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of Robert Will Swirles and Betsy (Bessie) Cooke Thomson. She married Douglas James Belmore on July 24, 1943.They had three children ; Karen Sue, James Douglas, and Dan Scott. Violet made her home in Dearborn from 1948-2023. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Dearborn Heights and an active member of the Daughter's of Scotia, Lady MacRae Lodge #218.

She was proceeded in death by her husband (1992), her sons and her siblings; Marjorie, Patrick, William, Gordon, Elizabeth (Bessie) ,George, Helen (Ella), Robert, and Mary. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kenneth Aungst, daughter-in-law Karen Belmore ; grandchildren Kristopher Aungst, Ryan Belmore, Kari Smith, Trisha  Duke, Kaylyn Belmore; and 9 great grandchildren: Kameron, Hannah, Logan, Vivian, Violet, Alexis, Kennedy, Evelyn, and Layla.

Visitation at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 17, starting at 1:00pm. A service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 4pm.
