Virginia attended the Oklahoma College for Women, was a charter member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood Dearborn Chapter CP, and honorary member of the Dearborn Players Guild. Virginia was proud of her Chickasaw Indian heritage and was a long-time member of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church.
