DOHANY, W. James (Jim) May 16, 2016 Age 80 of Dearborn. Loving husband of Marilyn. Dearest father of Kevin (Linda), Jill (John) Sullivan, and Susan (David) Chambers. Proud grandfather of Colin Chambers. Dearest brother of Rose Dohany and Mary (Paul) Helms.

Jim attended Edison Institute in Greenfield Village (now The Henry Ford) until it closed in 1952. He graduated from Dearborn High School in 1953 and the University of Detroit in evening school in 1960. Ford Motor Company hired Jim in 1961 and he retired in 1996 as Manager in Sales Operations. He also worked as a consultant on the City of Detroit's Mayoral Transition Teams for Roman Gribbs and Dennis Archer. He did additional consulting for the City of Detroit's Police Department and was a part of the Chairman of the City of Dearborn's Local Officials Compensation Committee (LOCC) during his retirement. Jim enjoyed travel and ski weekends at Otsego Ski Club in Gaylord, Michigan and visits to Keystone Resort in Colorado.

Memorial gathering will take place Thursday, May 19, from 3 PM until 8 PM at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20, at 11 AM at Howe-Peterson.
