Wanda Louise Corder passed away in Taylor at the age of 69.

Dearest mother of Kristina (Dan), and Ashley. Precious grandmother of Austin (April), Zavier, Nathan, Chance, Ella, Grayson and Moon. Loving sister to Ruby (The late Thomas), Caroline (John), Lynda (Larry), Charles (Micki), Virginia (Philip), George (Denise) and many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Malinda Corder, brothers James and Richard and sisters Charlotte and Barbara.

Lovingly known as "Cookie". She was the youngest of eleven children and grew up learning the value of hard work while working alongside her father at his gas station — something she remained very proud of throughout her life.

Cookie dedicated 42 years of service to the University of Michigan Hospital, where she was admired and respected by many. Known for her strong work ethic, she balanced being both stern and fun-loving — a combination that earned her the deep respect and affection of her colleagues and friends.

A true sports fan, Cookie loved all the Detroit teams, but especially cheered on her beloved Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan football team. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she had a wonderful gift for making everyone feel included and special.

Cookie was the grand organizer of lunch dates, get-togethers, and family reunions — always bringing people together with her warmth and laughter. She was also an avid shopper who loved a good bargain and firmly believed that you didn't have to need something to enjoy finding it on sale. She loved to "shop until you drop".

Above all, Cookie was a loyal friend to all — someone who made life brighter, funnier, and more meaningful just by being there.

She was our best friend!
