Wanda Fay Cronenwett (aka Mim, Kit, Mac, Mom) passed away peacefully at her home on May 1, 2025 at the age of 98.5
Wanda was born on August 19, 1926 to William and Nita Smith. She grew up in Carleton, Mi and graduated in 1944 from Carleton High School.
In 1948 she married Daniel Cronenwett at the Carleton Methodist Church. Wanda and Dan had two beautiful daughters Lisa and Kelly.
In 1966, Dan opened his own business where Wanda worked as the bookkeeper as well as raising their two daughters until they closed the business in 1990
She lived in her Allen Park home for over 67 year and enjoyed her Indian RIver, Michigan cottage in the summers, vacationing in Florida and a little gambling.
Mim was quick witted and always enjoyed a good joke. She was very special and generous and loved by her many nieces and nephews as well as her children and grandchildren. She had a quality about her that always made you feel cared for and loved.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Dan (Buppie), her sisters, Linda, Ila and Kay and her brother Wayne.
Wanda is survived by her daughters Lisa Cronenwett (Roger Fraser), Kelly Nix (the late David Nix), and her grandchildren Chelsea Long, Shelby Nix, Devin Nix (Brooke-lyn) and Ken Fraser
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 6th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and service on Wednesday, May 7th at 11:00 am at Howe Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph Road, Taylor Mi 48180
Luncheon to follow burial at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
