Wanda Louise Halcomb beloved sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her son Gary, and siblings James, Osco, Annie, and Johnny.
Wanda Louise Halcomb was born to Mary and Willie Williams on March 22, 1940, in Pleasantville, Tennessee. Wanda and her family moved north to Michigan for a better life when she was a teenager. She met and married Larry Halcomb, the love of her life, and was married for 55 years. She has four children Larry (Ragheda), Gary (deceased), Steve (Stefanie), and Mark. She has four grandchildren Lawrence (Miwa), Alex, Andrew, Samantha and one great grandchild Cedric. She has one living sister Judy (Paul) Snowden and many nephews and nieces.
She completed her high school education later in life. She also became a bus driver for the Taylor school system. One of her proudest achievements was completing Grace and Glory Bible College in Grandview Missouri. Her faith was her foundation and helped her through difficult times. She gave selflessly and shared her faith with everyone.
One of her favorite joys was when she had the company of those she loved. She loved having her grandchildren spend their summers with her and Grandpa in Irish Hills. She was a good cook, and no one will ever forget her homemade biscuits and gravy.
Wanda loved her family and friends unconditionally and fought fiercely for what she thought was right. It is a great loss for the family, and everyone will miss her intensely. She is in a better place with no suffering.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Grace Assembly, 51450 Fairchild Rd., Chesterfield, MI 48047.
