Wilfred R Selesky, born December 14, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph P. and Agnes Krause Selesky. He married Patricia A. Kulwicki on April 12, 1958, in Detroit. Shortly after, they made Dearborn Heights their home. He attended Dearborn schools and served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1946 -1947 in the Motor Transportation Division. Fred was employed by J.L. Hudson Company for 40+ years in the Drapery Installation Department. He said "I never worked a day in my life," because he loved what he did and never considered it work. After retirement he and his wife actively served in the Hudson Retiree Volunteer Association for 20+ years, rendering countless hours of service to various community organizations. He was an active member of the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish in Dearborn, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Michigan Teamsters Joint Council. Fred loved cars, model trains, participated in bowling leagues, enjoyed golfing and traveling. He was an avid reader, could outwit any Michigan historian, and loved his puzzle books. He had a wonderful sense of humor, was kind, and genuinely loved people. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, infant brother, Arthur, sister, Jean McMullen and nephew, Richard Kulwicki. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Paula Kulwicki; nieces - Carol Sorgen, Kathleen Gamache, Maureen Fallert, Diane Prusse, & Linda Crawford; and great nieces & nephews - Adam, Collin, Camille, Colette, Richard, Roman, Eve, Ty, Shane & Grace. Cause of death was age related factors. Memorial service and burial will take place at a later date. Please be sure to sign the guest book and leave an online condolence to comfort the family.
