William (Bill) Morris Hamm, 88, of Dearborn, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife Madeline; his five children: Casey (Lori) Haam, Leslie Hill, Trish (John) McCarthy, Mary Ann Parker, and Eileen (Tim) Burke; cherished grandchildren Lauren, Stephanie, Casey, Mackenzie, Steven, Annie, Fiona, Daphne, and Graham; great-grandchildren Grace, Parker, Madison, and Landon; sister Norma; nephew Eric and nieces Janis, Daralyn, Sharan and Catherine; his former spouse Barbara Etchells, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his precious grandson, Alexander Haam, son-in-law Steve Parker, brother Arthur, sister Florence, niece Sharisse and his parents.
Bill was born on July 22, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Dewey and Rose Hamm. He graduated from Detroit Mackenzie High School in 1948 and attended Lawrence Institute of Technology. He proudly served his country in The United States Marine Corps, and was an electrical engineer at Ford Motor, retiring in 1996 after 42 years of dedicated service. In retirement, Bill traveled extensively and was active with the Dearborn Exchange Club.
Bill will be laid to rest at The Great Lakes National Cemetery,
4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI.
