Life Legacy

Bill met Mary Lou in 1956 when she was a student at Marygrove College, just down the street from Bill's alma mater U of D  College. His first job was in Erie, PA and soon after that he returned to Detroit and worked for the County of Wayne and then acquired a job with the State of MI Social Services Department involving Aid to Dependent Children for several years and then changed  to Regulation Agent-Special Projects and lasted until 1996 when Bill retired with 35 years of service.

Going back now to 1960 Bill and Mary Lou were married on June 25, 1960 and the family grew by three.

Over the span of our younger years Bill and I engaged in restoring many pieces of antique furniture given to us by our families. They are treasures we have enjoyed for all the years we have been in our home.

We have also had a few occasions to travel with the family to California. Once in a station wagon to Palo Alto to visit Mary Lou's brother and another time to fly there with our bikes in tow on an airline flight.

Bill was an avid reader his whole life until he lost sight in his left eye from a blood clot on 2011. As Bill's health issues declined he was able to stay in the comfort of our home with the family & dedicated caregivers. We enjoyed his pleasant disposition, and soft spoken manner. He will be dearly missed by all.
