William Henry Worden III

William H. Worden III died peacefully at his home in Dearborn, MI on Friday, April 17, 2026. He is survived by his two children, Steven Worden (Kate) and Julie Sweet (Paul) and his three grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, and Jack. He is preceded in death by his parents, William H. Worden and Naomi L. Worden and his sister Kathryn Barnett. 

Bill was a lifelong Dearborn resident, Edsel Ford H.S. Graduate, Navy Veteran, and Dearborn Firefighter. He was a dedicated member of the Dearborn Goodfellows for over 60 years and an American Legion member. He retired from the fire department in 1997. He enjoyed a 30-year retirement. He loved to play golf, watch TV, and sit on the porch in his later years. He had many friends and family that will all miss him dearly. 

He was a proud son, brother, uncle, dad, and grandpa. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 1:00-8:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will be at 7:00 p.m. All services will take place at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services 22546 Michigan Ave. Dearborn, MI 48124.
