Winifred (Lorna) Brennenstuhl May 13, 1925 - May 5, 2014 Age 89 of Taylor, MI passed away May 5, 2014 . Lorna was born May 13, 1925 in Sheffield England, daughter of the late James Albert and Winifred Eva Ranson, Whittaker. Lorna came to America when she was three years old and in July of 1956 became a citizen of the United States. Lorna worked as Executive Housekeeper at the Royal Ascot Motor Inn Allen Park MI. While there she married George Peter Brennenstuhl III on December 7, 1985. She is survived by her husband George, Taylor,MI, two daughters, Winifred Louise (Joe) Gross, Holland, MI, Sandra Louise (Roy) Lowe, Evening Shade, AR, and two sons James Thomas and Douglas Charles. She is further survived by numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren. Lorna was a dedicated mother, active in her church both as a worker and group leader. She was and active member in The Order Of The Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron and in all of the chairs. She was noted for her cooking and baking abilities, the dishes of food and desserts she provided at various social and church functions always came home empty. As Executive Housekeeper she was warmly regarded as not only a fair leader but a leader willing to pitch in and help with the work when her employees needed her. Lorna marveled at recreating dishes and desserts she had tasted and in some cases surpassed the tastes of the original dishes. Lorna had a knack for decorating and it showed in the homes she resided in. She loved to camp and was found often at Camp Dearborn with her children when they were young.
