With excruciatingly heavy heart we must announce that Matthew B. Racke (Matt) of Garden City, Michigan passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 14, 2020.

Matt is lovingly survived by Sarah Taylor (Fiancée) & Jackson Racke (their Son), Kristen Racke & John Dimech (Matt's Mother & Stepfather), David St. Aubin (Matt's father), and many more in the extended family, which is just too large to list.

Throughout Matt's life, he loved boating and shared that passion with Sarah and Jackson, refurbishing three boats when he wasn't at the "hot hole" or cruising the vast waters of Lake Erie.  You could often find Matt, Sarah and Jackson spending endless nights RVing, huddled around a fire, casting a line, or racing RC Cars.

Matt worked with his hands and was always tinkering with something...busy, busy busy, especially when hunkered down in the garage due to the cold Michigan winters.  As most have expressed, Matt's talents as a Master Mechanic expanded beyond traditional mechanical work, flowing into engineering and advanced fabrication, always with intuitive and awe-inspiring results.

There are no words to express the emotional impact of this great loss and the outpouring of love and support is greatly recognized and cherished.  Due to the challenges of COVID and Matt's previously communicated wishes, there will not be a service.  However, there are insufficient funds to sustain Sarah and Jackson's immediate financial well-being. As such, donations in Matt's memory are the most-beneficial way to help them through their tragic loss ( GoFundMe ).
